Stolen Picture

Stolen PictureToday we went down to the National Gallery, where photography USED to be allowed in the permanent collections. Well, apparently that changed as of last July. Now you can only use a camera in "the common areas", by which they mean the great hall, the hallways, and the stairs. "For copyright reasons", the Gallery's web site piously explains. Oh yeah, so whose copyright are we talking about here? Pablo Picasso's? Or the publishers of the obscenely expensive coffee table books they sell in the Gallery's bookstore?

This is what I was able to get away with, nonchalantly shooting from the hip and coughing to cover the noise of the shutter. So sue me.
